What is The Piano Truck?
It’s a glass walled truck outfitted to be a music school on wheels. One challenge facing parents today is finding time to bring each child to their daily activities and fitting it all in a certain time frame. We designed The Piano Truck with this in mind. We will be conveniently located at other after school kid businesses, daycares, Montessori schools, your neighborhood centers, and even your own driveway so picking the most convenient place to have your lesson is easy.
Our preschool classes teach the foundations of piano to 3-5 year olds. Throughout the class they will learn about different note values, Forte (loud) and Piano (soft), and musical patterns like stepping up and down the piano and staying on the same note. All of this is taught through piano pals to learn the letters of the musical alphabet and various music concepts through stories and songs. This class provides a great foundation for preschoolers so that when they are old enough to enter our school age classes they already have the basic theory down and it is easier for them to grasp all of the concepts when learning the piano.
The program consists of 4 levels. Each level covers different parts of music. By the time they have gone through all 4 levels they will have been introduced to:
All notes and values
Piano Keys
Musical theory that is covered in books 1-2 of most piano books for ages 5+
Reading/playing music on the staff
Musical patterns
Basic piano technique
Your child will also start their first repertoire of level appropriate piano songs.
Each and every thing we teach your child will be done in a way that is fun and keeps their attention while they learn. We incorporate videos, music activities that use their whole body, stories with our piano pals, and we use a giant LED floor piano (like from the movie BIG!), and more!
Our classes are $99/month. We meet once per week and they are 30 minutes long.
